Hi there,
I am a sixty-something-year-old gent, living in the leafy suburbs of Birmingham, in the United Kingdom. I have recently retired from my work as a sales assistant for a well-known retail chain, after 19 years of service. I have since taken up the career of a call agent (Remote), working for agencies. I have one or two hobbies to keep me sane, such as this one.
My interests include genealogy (Cogdell, Paget, Robinson, Wood, and other surnames), astronomy and spaceflight, cycling, walking in the countryside, photography and metal detecting. (I dispose of my found rubbish in bins you will be glad to know, cleaning up the countryside as I go). Gardening and I paint in watercolour, oils, and acrylics, the subject matter of these mainly being landscapes.

My Carbon Footprint declaration - I have not flown since 2006, which was just in a prop plane (Blackpool to the Isle of Man - return) and before that, two jet trips to Holland and one to Dublin, all from Birmingham, that's it. I don't own a car or motorbike, I use public transport or my pushbike when I am not walking. I currently work from home.
I support the climate change movement. The governments of the world are not acting fast enough to do what is needed. There is not the spark or drive to come up with what is needed, they just hamper the people who are trying to do the correct action in the pursuit of staying rich or in power. My RedAlert Pages are my small way of adding to the voice of the people demanding change in attitudes and direction by big businesses and governments of the world.
